Good Afternoon Sharks, this is Principal Smith with your Weekly Update! Monday, October 3rd school is closed. Happy New Year to all of our families celebrating Rosh Hashanah!

Tuesday, October 4th is a Shortened Day, dismissal is at 1:32pm, for Professional Development Meetings. The early dismissal will give all of you the opportunity to visit Quickly to get your Boba and support our school! Every Thursday in the month of October, go to Menchie’s at Ventura Blvd and Corbin to get your FroYo and support our school! We get 20% of all profits if you bring a Daniel Pearl Magnet High School flyer! Flyers are available in Room 22!

Daniel Pearl Magnet HS is taking our show on the road to visit Columbus Middle School and Northridge Middle School! Student athletes, reps from The Pearl Post and PNN, and our garage band, The Sardines, are visiting these schools to show 8th graders who we are and to encourage them to apply to the best school in the valley! We know this will be a great event to showcase our school!

STEAM on Mondays in Room 12 at lunch
Get Lit Spoke Word, Tuesdays, Room 14 at lunch

Math tutoring is available on Mondays and Thursdays after school~ see Ms. Hicks and Mr. Cramer
