Good Evening Sharks, This is Principal Smith with your Weekly Update.

Thank you to the parents, students and faculty who attended last week’s School Site Council Meeting! I appreciate the time you committed to discuss and approve the budget recommendations.

This Monday, April 4th, there is a Mandatory AP Spanish Meeting during lunch in Room 3 with Ms. Hurtado. You must attend this meeting if you signed up for the AP Spanish exam. On Tuesday, April 5th, there is a Senior Class Prom Committee meeting in the Textbook room during Nutrition. Looking ahead, Sparkle Saturday is April 9th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please join us to help spruce up our school. On Wednesday, April 13th, at 5:30 pm in the MPR, Dr. Lori Vollandt will be here to present a video, Warning, Take Only as Directed, a video on prescription drug abuse and Dr. Vollandt will also lead a discussion and answer questions on the topic. This is a fantastic video and opportunity. On Friday, April 15th, our school will be visited by the accreditation team from WASC. This is an important review of how our school is doing. All parents who would like to attend the Parent Focus Group are welcome to be here at 1:15 pm. The meeting will start at 1:30 pm. The Science CST’s will be given on Friday, April 15th.
