Good evening Sharks, this is Principal Smith with your Weekly Update. Monday, January 18th is a school holiday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. School reopens on Tuesday, January 19th, and classes begin at 7:55 am. Remember, Tuesdays dismiss classes at 1:42 pm. Seniors, you can have your baby picture in this year’s yearbook for $2. Email your photo to [email protected] or bring it to Ms. Chavira in Room 22. California Scholarship Spring applications are available in Room 20 and are due by January 29th to Ms. Mauermann. This Thursday, January 21st, PTSA is holding its General Meeting in the MPR at 6:30 pm, and all are welcome to attend. On Friday, January 22nd, the Parent Center is hosting a workshop, “A-G Requirements, Graduation Requirements for Your Diploma”. The meeting begins at 8:15 am in the Parent Center. All are welcome to hear this important information with Ms. Torres.

DPMHS Sharks have 2 campaigns beginning. One, Pennies for Patients, is to support children with leukemia by collecting loose change and pennies. Please drop off your loose change at the front office! The 2nd campaign is Jeans for Teens, and we are collecting gently used or new jeans for teens who are in need. You can drop your jeans off at the front office, and all sizes and styles are needed.
