Good Evening Sharks, this is Principal Smith with your Weekly Update!

College Spirit Week begins tomorrow! Wear your favorite College Gear and support Leadership! Senior graduation packages go on sale in the Student Store tomorrow, and the packages include reduced prices for the yearbook, prom, senior t-shirt and sweatshirt, senior breakfast and other items. Payment plans are available.

The highlights for this week are that on Wednesday the 14th, there is a fundraiser at Pizza Rev at 5608 Van Nuys Blvd. On Thursday, the 15th, DPMHS will be participating in the Great California Shakeout Earthquake Drill. This will begin at 9:45 am and is expected to last for 30 minutes. Students are encouraged to bring a hat , water, and sunscreen. Parents are welcome to participate as well. Later on the 15th, there is a PTSA General Meeting in the MPR, beginning at 5:30 pm. All are welcome and the PTSA wants to see and hear you!

Temperatures are expected to continue to be hot for the coming week so please remember to wear appropriate school clothing that covers shoulders and midriffs. Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. All parents are encouraged to set up your Jupiter Online Grade accounts and follow your student’s progress. The Daniel Pearl Music Day Talent Show, under the direction of Mr. Wes Hambright, is coming together, and I believe it is going to be wonderful! More information will be forthcoming!
