This is Principal Smith with some important reminders. As I stated at the opening Orientations before school began, it is important for all parents and guardians to monitor your student’s electronic devices and each of you should have full access to all passwords, apps, and text messages. Although this may feel invasive or violate trust between you and your son or daughter, it is the best way to keep informed about what they are doing. As a school principal, I can only do so much, and I am asking you to be on my team by getting to know your student’s friends, their activities, how they spend their free time, check their grades on Jupiter and if they are not making “C”‘s or better, set up a parent conference with the teacher. Taking these steps can mean the difference between your student being successful in school or getting into serious trouble. Talk today to talk to your student, get their passwords, check their devices regularly. Thank you and have a great night.
