Ms. Gorski has been a Music Teacher at DPMHS since 2010. She currently teaches Choir, Beginning Guitar, and Music History and has previously taught elementary school vocal and general music, Kindermusik, early childhood music, Montessori, private voice lessons, and private piano lessons. She also performs other functions in our school community:

• Sponsor, Detective’s Club
  

Ms. Gorski received a Masters in Music Education from Westminster Choir College and a Bachelors in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance from Northern Illinois University. She holds a K-12 Music credential and has a Level 4 Kodaly Music Education certification. She also maintains memberships in the Organization of American Kodály Educators, the National Association for Music Education, and the American Choral Directors Association.

In addition to her time at DPMHS, she has been a private voice instructor, church musician, choral conductor, and professional singer.

Ms. Gorski is an LAUSD Teacher of the Year 2012-13, has trained with internationally known choral conductors Henry Leck and Rodney Eichenberger, and was one of a handful of music teachers to be accepted to the NAfME 2010 Teaching Guitar Workshop (which earned her a sizable grant for the DPMHS guitar program). She has also worked as a Little Kids Rock guitar teacher since 2007. Little Kids Rock is a remarkable charitable organization that supports music education nationwide and has been a great support to building our music program here at DPMHS.
