Good Evening Sharks, this is Principal Smith with your Weekly Update. I am proud to report that DPMHS sent a soccer team to the first Annual Intramural Soccer Tournament on Friday, playing against Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences, Adams High School, and Miller CTC, played 3 games and won all 3! It was a clean sweep for DPMHS! Congratulations!

The CPR training that was held at DPMHS on Saturday, Dec. 3rd was a great success with over 25 families in attendance!

The Winter Canned Food Drive has begun and will end on Dec. 8th. Food collected will be going to LAUSD families in need through the SOVA Valley Satellite Food Bank. The Period 1 class that brings in the most food will be treated to a donut party!

This Tuesday, dismissal is at 3:02pm, regular schedule. There is a practice for all students performing in the winter show starting at 3:15pm in the MPR.

Wednesday, Dec. 7th, at 8:15am, the PArent Center is hosting Helping Families Access Health Insurance. The meeting will be offered in English and Spanish. All are welcome!

Friday, Dec. 9th: There is a Math Contest during Nutrition in Rooms 11 and 12! sign up with your Math teacher!

At 7:00pm, DPMHS will host the first annual Winter Holiday program, in the MPR. Tickets are not required and seating will be first come, first serve! The show will be spectacular!

Looking Ahead: Finals week is Dec. 13 - 15th! Classes will end at 12:27pm.

All students who ride the Magnet bus will leave school at 3:02pm, unless alternate transportation can be arranged by families. Students who remain after classes end will be provided space to study after school or can watch a movie in the MPR while waiting for the bus.

Friday, Dec. 16th is a minimum day for all students, with Magnet busses leaving campus at 12:27pm.

Winter break is from Dec. 19 - January 6, 2017!
