DPMHS has been invited to attend the “Directing Change Program and Film Contest” at the Alex Theater in Glendale next Friday. Our school will make-up the audience for the screening, along guests of the filmmakers. This is through the Each Mind Matters, California’s Mental Health Movement; it is a Film Festival showing the short films that were this year’s winners; the films were to represent “Take Action, Prevent Suicide and Stand Up!” The participants in the festival will be awarded their prizes at the event. Since our entire student body will be attending this event, we need a total of 37 chaperones (1 per 10 students). We already have 30 signed up, including DPMHS teachers and staff members, so we need at least 7 more. Subject to slight modification, the buses will leave the school at 10:30-11:00. All attendees will bring a sack lunch and we will stop for lunch at a park near the theater prior to the screening. We will be on the buses to return to school at 2:00 and we will arrive back at DPMHS prior to the regular end of the school day.

DPMHS ha sido invitado a asistir a la “Dirección Cambio de Programa y Film Contest” en el Teatro Alex en Glendale próximo viernes. Nuestra escuela de maquillaje a la audiencia para el cribado, a lo largo de los huéspedes de los realizadores. Esto es a través de las Materias de cada mente, el Movimiento de Salud Mental de California; se trata de un festival de cine que muestra los cortometrajes que fueron ganadores de este año; las películas eran para representar a “tomar medidas, Suicide Prevenir y Stand Up!” Los participantes en el festival serán otorgados los premios en el evento.
