Greetings DPMHS Community –

The end of the semester is quickly approaching! The Finals Schedule for the week of December 16-20 has been finalized and approved and may be viewed online at http://www.pearlmagnet.org/finals-schedule-revised-and-approved/

A new RSP teacher is joining DPMHS! Principal Smith sends the following announcement:

“It is with great pleasure that I introduce our new RSP teacher, Ms. Lori Koontz, to our faculty and school! She will be joining us on Jan. 13, 2014, when we return from our winter break! Ms. Koontz will be supporting our RSP students in the Learning Center and in classes, and I am delighted to have her join our amazing school! She brings much experience in Special Education, behavior support and leadership. Please join me in welcoming her to our school!”

Mark your calendars…The next PTSA Association meeting will be Thursday, January 16. We are going to try something new and hold the meeting at 5:30pm this time. Watch for a reminder email in January. We are also going to have food so that you can get dinner when you come to the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and it’s not too late to join the PTSA. We always need your support! Join online at http://www.pearlmagnet.org/parents/ptsa/

3rd Annual Silent Auction will be March 20, 2014 during the DPMHS Open House
We are currently soliciting donations of distinctive items, tickets, gift certificates, and services from businesses and organizations to be used in our Silent Auction. If you have something unique you would like to donate, please contact Marilyn Adler, the Silent Auction Chair (bugsbunnysfriend@aol.com). In addition, many of the 2nd period classrooms will be preparing ‘themed’ baskets for the Silent Auction and will be asking for items to go in these baskets from the students and their families. I’m sure the teachers won’t mind if parents step forward to help organize the classroom baskets πŸ™‚
If you have any questions about the PTSA, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!
