School Councils

Parent involvement and advice is critical to the operation and growth of DPMHS and these councils and committee are the venues in which to provide your support for the students and our school.

Below are brief descriptions of the purpose and responsibilities of each of the councils.

School Site Council (SSC): Develops and monitors the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).

Local School Leadership Council (LSLC): Determines school policies and items, such as the school bell schedule.

Title 1 Committee (CEAC): Advise and make recommendations in writing to the principal and the SSC on the development of an effective educational program and plan that raises the achievement of disadvantaged students.

Please note that at the end of the 2010-11 academic year the Local School Leadership Council voted to combine itself with the School Site council to increase efficiency and effectiveness. For the next two years, the SSC will be responsible for conducting the business of the LSLC.

Council meetings will be held on the third Monday of each month of the school year and are posted to the DPMHS Calendar.
