It takes a village to raise a child, and running a high school is no different. In our case, it takes strong leadership, capable administrators, a clear strategy for the future, and your involvement.
Parent involvement and advice is critical to the operation and growth of DPMHS. There are a number of volunteer opportunities at the school and through the PTSA, and volunteering on a school council is one of the most important. Our school councils make decisions that affect school policies, schedules, and budgets.
In addition to district and state policies, the School Site Council has approved policies that deal specifically with our school. Their purpose is to foster a safe, healthy environment in which your student can succeed.
This plan contains the overall strategy used by the administration to make our school the best it can be.
Accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges is very important, and the process is very thorough. Periodically, DPMHS produces a report for WASC that describes the work we are doing as well as our progress toward significant goals.
