2012 API Scores Released

October 12, 2012 at 8:32 pm

The California Department of Education has released the 2012 Academic Performance Index (API) scores, and we’ve made another huge jump to 823! Of the 164 high schools in LAUSD that were listed, DPMHS had the 15th highest API (up from 18th last year). Great job, Sharks!

Here’s how we compare to LAUSD and California for the last three years:

All Students

Scores are also separated by student sub-groups. The ethnicity categories are Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Filipino, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and White. If a particular group does not have more than 10 students in a given year, the scores are not broken out in order to protect their privacy. We only have enough to report for the following groups: Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, and White.

Black or African American

That’s more than 100 points greater than either the District or the State!

Hispanic or Latino

There are three other sub-groups:

English Learners

Socioeconomically Disadvantaged

Students with Disabilities

More than 200 points higher than the District! Amazing!
