Welcome to DPMHS, LAUSD’s smallest stand-alone comprehensive high school. We offer a safe, supportive learning environment in which every student benefits from rigorous academics and a focus on journalism and communications. They also have the chance to work on an award-winning student newspaper, perform in a thriving music program, and play sports. Our API is 810, and last year 100% of our seniors graduated and 98% of our sophomores passed the CAHSEE on the first try.
Because we’re a small school, your student has a better chance of getting the attention they deserve. But we don’t have room for everyone. Make sure that your student gets the education they deserve.
U.S. News and World Report has ranked our school as one of the country’s best high schools for our performance in the 2011-12 academic year. We are 515th out of 19,411 evaluated schools, which puts us in the top 2% nationwide. We ranked 108th out of 1,872 evaluated schools in the state of California. Our API that year was 823.
We were great then, and we’re only getting better. Go sharks!
